  • Contributions by authors will be attributed to the author, and WordPress.com automatically displays the author’s profile at the bottom of the article. Please set up a Gravatar profile since Gravatar profiles are globally recognized and integrated with WordPress.com.
  • Full length articles are required, except for copyright protected publications.
  • Reblogs, stand alone links or teasers will not be published.
  • If you choose to reblog an article, it must be from a reputable source, and have a link back to the original article.
  • If you acquire written permissions (via e-mail from a valid Administrator or written release form) then you may publish copyrighted material with the expressed permission of the owner.
  • I encourage contributors to insert appropriate links and references to their own sites or articles, if any.
  • AmResoltuion may add tags, pictures and links to related articles that are suitable to the article being published.
  • AmResolution may edit for spelling, grammar and inappropriate content, but will try not to change the context of the article.
  • Amresolution accepts no liability for the individual views of it’s authors. The opinions expressed on the website are the author/authors personal views and do not reflect those of The American Resoltuion in any way.
  • Amresolution doesn’t charge for the news service, nor does Amresolution pay for contributions.

I welcome authors under the following categories below (as stated by WordPress). However, you must start out as a Contributor and consistently publish articles (whether once a week or once every two weeks) to more acquire more administrative privileges like an Editor if you wish.

  • Administrator (Me, Laura Bernal): An administrator can edit and delete posts/pages, comments, settings, theme choice, import, users and everything else on the site. Only one administrator is recommended by WordPress. The Administrator reserves the right to edit or delete any contributions before or after publication. So please note that to become an Admin, is both a great responsibility and a great privilege. Please do not request to be an Admin, I will automatically grant an opportunity once I feel it is necessary.
  • Editor: An editor can view, edit, publish, and delete any posts/pages, moderate comments, manage categories, manage tags, manage links and upload files/images. An Editor is someone who takes reporting news seriously or possess a passion to express his/her views that are relatively consistent with Amresolution’s tone, and wishes to make the website as much theirs as it is mine.
  • Author: An author can edit, publish and delete their posts, as well as upload files/images.
  • Contributor: A contributor can edit their posts but cannot publish them. When a contributor creates a post, it will need to be submitted to an administrator for review. Once a contributor’s post is approved by an administrator and published, however, it may no longer be edited by the contributor. A contributor does not have the ability to upload files/images.
  • Follower: Followers have signed up to receive updates each time new content is published. They can comment on, rate and “Like” posts, pages and comments. They do not have any editing privileges.

When writing articles, please keep the following in mind:

  1. Remember to identify yourself, either by your real name or a pseudonym (a pen name). You may create your identity using a Gravatar profile. Click the link here to get started.
  2. If you are posting from a copyrighted source on the internet, only use the first two to three paragraphs from the article and link to the original source for the rest of the article. For non-copyrighted material, I prefer you post the full article but it is important to place a link back to the original source either at the top or the bottom. For all copyrighted and non-copyrighted material make sure you include the name of the author and the name of the original source, which must be hyperlinked. Give authors their credit, this make you look good and fair plus it’s fair for the researcher who wrote the original article.
  3. If you need to take a look at examples, please use www.amresolution.com as your guide.
  4. When possible, use hyperlinks in your article to point back to original sources. This is important because it lends legitimacy to your article and allows the reader to get further information on your subject.
  5. The more concise and straight forward your post is, the more likely it will be read and understood. It is important you make your argument within the first paragraph and then expand on your point with factual information backing up your argument in the remainder of the post. Don’t start your opening paragraph with a long boring story, it drives readers away as it would drive you away as well. Stay on topic and again, be as concise as possible and use credible sources, not wild, opinionated sources.
  6. Grammar and spelling are important. When possible, use the WordPress spell checker and proof-read your post for both typographic errors and grammar mistakes.
  7. Finally, keep an open mind and try to write content-free of personal attacks and stick to the facts to the best of your ability and perception. Should you find it pertinent to add your personal opinion in an article it is crucial that you say: “In my opinion”, “It’s my opinion”, “Based on this fact, this article, this report,”… before your personal statements. DO NOT make blanket statements like “Ron Paul supporters are crazy” or “Obama supporters are ignorant.” You must be polite and provide links, articles and facts to back up your claims.
  8. No racism, no slurs or deliberate defaming of individuals or institutions is allowed. As an Author you are responsible for your own material, so please be responsible.
